She also completed her student teaching in the Hollister School District and helped out with private lessons for students who went on to join district bands and even earned state-level recognition.

Her teaching philosophy is all about helping students become lifelong musicians and learners. She believes in the positive impact music can have on students, not just as musicians but as individuals, and she loves seeing them grow year after year. One of her favorite parts of teaching is working with students from grades 6 through 12 and watching them develop into skilled, confident musicians and well-rounded people.

Aurora Glaubitz

Fall/Winter Guard Assistant Coordinator

I stated my guard career back in high school where I competed in seven seasons, three fall and four winter season, throughout my high school career. Once I graduated I joined The City of Fountains – Independent, an independent open class winter guard, for their inaugural season in Kansas City, Missouri. I then spun with the Missouri Southern State University Marching Band for their Fall ‘21 season.
I eventually came back home where I joined the Joplin winter guard staff and have been helping and coaching for the past three winter seasons. This will be my first fall marching season with the Joplin Eagle Pride Band and I have been enjoying every bit of the experience.
I am looking forward to many more seasons with the Joplin guard.
